BIB--Bald is Beautiful

Alas, it has come to my great dismay that both of my boys have lost their hair. I know, I know, it was not much to begin with, but considering the lack of hair on all my previous babies, I was really enjoying their cute little fuzzy heads. But as their due date came around their hair fled. Of coarse, if you look at the back of their heads they still have a horizontal patch of hair left, thus inspiring Eric's new nickname for one "Old Man Walker".

The Other "Set of Twins"

The other day Mikki and Danni came in dressed completely alike and thrilled beyond belief. They announced to me that they are the other twins in our family. They stuck together the rest of the night, even after I put the camera away. What cute girls!!

Our Family Is Bigger!

On July 19th 2008, we welcomed two new arrivals to our family. I was 35 1/2 weeks pregnant when my water broke in the middle of the night. Two and a half hours later at 4:03 AM, Walker was born. He weighed 6 lbs 6 oz, and was 19 inches tall. Cash followed quickly at 4:15 AM. He weiged 5 lbs 9 oz, and was 18 1/2 inches tall. Both of our little guys had to stay in the NICU for two days but have been healthy and thriving ever since!

The Bug on the Ceiling

The other night, Danni was in her usual habit of calling me back into her room after I have tucked her into bed. When I heard her little voice calling me for the third time, I was a little annoyed. I marched into her room, ready to lecture her on the bedtime proceedure yet again, when she said, "Mommy, there's a bug on the ceiling". I looked above her bed and sure enough there was a tiny moth on the ceiling. I had no desire to climb up there, so in an attempt to save time I told her, "It is just a piece of dirt". She looked at me completely nonplussed for a good 5 seconds, then stated, "The dirt is walking." I was laughing so hard, as I gave in and climbed up after the moth. I guess she wasn't fooled!!

Introduction of Us!

This is our first blog and so I will start with introductions. Eric is 35 years old works in the family buisness doing Group Benefits and Insurance, and spends as much time as he can out hunting. Tenay is 31, and a stay at home mom, who loves to read books, quilt, and hunt occationaly also. Caden is 8 years old, and is in 3rd grade, and his recent obsession is with Pokemon. I am sure that next week it will be something else. He is still very cudly, and is my sweet boy. He just started Cub Scouts two weeks ago, and is loving every second of it. Mikayla (we also call her Mikki) is 6 years old, in 1st grade, and is mommy's big helper. She has her own apron that she quickly puts on any time I am cooking, and begs me to let her vaccume the floor (I don't expect this phase to last long....I am loving it right now!). Mikki loves to sing and dance, and is all girl through and through. Danielle (aka Danni) is our little ball of spit and fire, and is constantly keeping us on our toes. Her whit is becoming more pronounced each day, as she says or does something to make us laugh. Her goal in life must be to have everyone around her laughing.

This week Caden and Mikki will be starting soccer, and this year Mikki will be playing on an all girl team....last year she was the only girl. She is very excited for this, especially since her two cousins will be on the same team with her. Caden is also on the same team as his cousin, and although he loves basketball the most, he is very excited for soccer. This will take up two nights a week each for practice, and each have a game on Saturday. That means a lot of running around for me...so I guess I will officially be considered a "Soccer Mom".

We are still in the process of building our house, and that takes most of our free time. We have so many big and little decisions that we have to make over the next couple of months as things get finished up. But in the end it is nice that I get to pick every little thing in our house including the hinges on the doors....then I can blame no one else for my choices!!
